Bio-metric Machines Links Down – Engineering Councils Elections Postponed

Multan/Bahawalpur/DG Khan (Monday, June 15, 2015) – Yesterday was polling day in Pakistan for the election of governing body of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). At 01:25 PM polling stopped by the order of PEC Chairman. He was also candidate for the the post of chairman.

In Dera Ghazi Khan almost 100 votes were polled. In which WAPDA’s Javiad Slaeem obtained 97 votes, while Syed Qadir Shah secured only 3 votes.

In Bahawalpur only 37 votes cast due to slow system.

In Multan after 2:00 PM Ballott Boxes were sealed.

The Engineer Pakistan has criticized the postponement of election and announced legal struggle against this move.
