Employees Salary Increase in Budget 2012-13 – Notification of Grant of Adhoc Relief Allowance 2012 @ 20% of Basic Pay to the Civil Employees of the Federal Government

The President has been pleased to sanction with effect from the July, 2012 and till further orders an Adhoc Relief Allowance – 2012 @ 20% of basic pay to all the civil employees of the Federal Government as well as the civilians paid from Defence Estimates including contingent paid staff and contract employees employed against civil posts in Basic Pay Scales on standard terms and conditions of contract appointment.

2. The amount of this Adhoc Relief Allowance – 2012 :
i)   will be subject to Income Tax.
ii) will be admissible during leave and entire period of LPR except during extra ordinary leave.
iii) will not be treated as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of Pension/gratuity and recovery of House Rent.
iv) will not be admissible to the employees during the tenure of their posting/deputation abroad.    . •
v) will be admissible lo the employees on their repatriation from posting/deputation abroad at the rate and amount which would have been admissible lo them had they not been posted abroad.

3. The term “Basic Pay” for the purpose of Adhoc Relief Allowance – 2012 will also include the amount of the personal pay granted on account of annual increment(s) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scales.

4. The above Adhoc Relief Allowance – 2012 shall be accommodated from within the budgetary allocation for the year 2012-2013 by the respective Ministries/ Divisions/Departments and no supplementary grants would be given on this account.

    Dear Sir, It is brought to your kind notice that since 2003, there is no Balance in the Pay scale of Govt: Employees of Diferrent Ministries for example Armed Forces, Police, Judicries, Teachers are getting increase in their pay scale & Grade, but other Govt: Employees have been ignored. Now the present Govt: had set a committee for implementation of Unified pay scales but still there is no implementation inspite of giving dates again and again. Now 20% allowance is increased for Ministerial Employees of Diff: Division of Ministries but again the Pay & Penssion committee report has put behind the rocks. Kindly approve the same and oblige the poors …………..

  2. Please Re-start the treatements of Civilians as like Uniforms Persons . There’s Salaries is too much lesser than uniforms Persons. that’s not fair . Plz Think About it.

  3. 20% adhoc releaf increase is no thing in this fire of expences day by day increase of price of all things which are in our daily use. government is alway giving facilities to the upper staff but official are alway facing injustice for example govenment increased the conveyance allowance BPS-1 to BPS-10 only 350 rupees and BPS-11 to BPS-15 300 Rupees only but BPS-16 to BPS-19 more than Double conveyance allowance which is 2480 to 5000 . very nice act by our policy makers
