Dear all PTCL Pensioners!
Since the formation of Telecom Pensioners Associations and other pensioners bodies at different locations, we are trying hard to get implementation of orders issued by the Government of Pakistan for the increases in pension in 2010 and 2011. In this regard it is intimated that Mr. Muhammad Sarwar, President TPA and Mr. Naseem A. Vohra, Secretary General TPA alongwith Mr. M.H.Aslam, Chief Coordinator TPA met the Secretary IT, JS (Chairman PTET) and Chairman NA Standing Committee on IT and succeeded in getting some positive response form all these forums. Since the matter is very important for every pensioners, it is, therefore, felt necessary that besides of our efforts at TPA end, the other member of pensioners’ bodies should also send applications/appeals to all the concerned offices, such as; Secretary Ministry of IT, MD PTET, Chairman PTCL, Chairman Standing Committee, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Pakistan, Human rights Committees, print and electronic media, etc. etc. for early settlement of our legitimate right. These applications or appeals may please be sent from all parts of the country and all kind of pensioners; e.g. low paid pensioners, widows, orphans etc., explaining, their sentiments and the miseries they are facing due to non endorsement of these increases to PTET pensioners as announced by the Government of Pakistan.
This practice should not be discontinued till such time we got some definite results. Also motivate pensioners to demonstrate in front of Press Club or other appropriate forums on 1st and 2nd of every month at all stations from-where a sizable group of pensioners are getting pension. Efforts be also made that senior pensioners alongwith widows, orphans should also take active part in all legitimate activities of pensioners’ bodies. Also the print and electronic media may be requested to give us proper coverage and help us in raising our issue at all appropriate forums. I am confident that our these efforts would definitely generate more pressure on all the stake holders and the issue will remain alive till the final decision, either by the Courts or by the Guarantor (Government of Pakistan).
Again I would request all of you to please please do not relax and keep writing, does not matter it is in URDU or ENGLISH. INSHALLAH! we will succeed in resolving the legitimate issue once for all. Meanwhile I may also request to motivate the pensioners to get them registered with TPA so that we could get some useful strength and be able to demonstrate in Islamabad with good strength of pensioners from TPA platform.
With profound regards
Vice President TPA
