KARACHI, October 03, 2010 (Balochistan Times): About 40000 PTCL Pensioners across the country have been deprived off from current 20% enhancement announced by Government of Pakistan stated representative of PTCL Retired Officers Welfare Association. PTCL was privatized in 2005 as Etisalat acquired its 26% shares with management control. It is necessary to mention that GoP still has 62% shares and all the regular employees of PTCL are employees of GoP but PTCL management is running this huge organization as absolute owner. The current state of affair is very unjustified, as all other government organizations have raised the Pensions except this organization. Everyone know that how difficult to run day-to-day domestic affairs in this period whereas situation worse for pensioners. This enhancement was welcomed by pensioner with the hope that it will reduce their problems but PTCL management is very cruelly denying this for those who have status of Pensioner of GoP. Through this, they asked the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice and asked the management to immediately announce this enhancement as well as to ask them the reason for delay.
