Pay & Pension Report implementation – 50 % Freezed – All Alowances Merged in Basic Pay – Pension increase 20 to 30 %

As Annual Fiscal Budget Day (May 28, 2011) coming closer employees expectations are increasing : Previous Allowances merged in Basic Pay – Last year 50 percent raise freeze – Pension increase 20-30 percent – Budget 2011-2012 expectations. (Daily Urdu Express Islamabad Dated 15-5-2011).

    Merger of adhoc allowances in Basic Pay Scale is a good proposal for those only who are going retire. On the other hand merger of allowances will give rise to taxable income resulting deduction of huge amount against income tax. By this merger Government is going to give you rise in substantive salary with one hand and simultaneously take more amount out of your salary with both hands. Here a question arises as whether merger of adhoc allowance will lower the prices of commodities basic food, fuel prices, transport fare etc. Ceretainly not then what is the use of making such juglary.Think over this and give appropriate comments please. Awaiting for comments. Thanks


  2. I think merger of all adhoc allownaces in Basic pay is a good proposal. If all adhoc allowances be merged in Basic Pay, then it will be ok if no increase will be made in basic pay for the current budget. May all Govt servants agrees with me.
