PTCL Announced Work Ease Policy for its Employees
Now A Mother can Work at Her House
Islamabad (Daily Dunya/Friday, October 16, 2015) – Now Pakistan telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has introduced “Work Ease” policy for its workers. Now employees can chose working time table as per their ease. While in PTCL, mothers can perform her duty at home instead of office.
Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL) has introduced new flexible work arrangements to facilitate its employees. The new steps include flexible working hours for all employees and work from home facility for the working mothers of the company.
Launched under the umbrella of ‘WorkEase’, these initiatives are designed to further promote a culture that encourages work-life-balance, diversity inclusion and boost employee engagement.
Flexible working hours give employees the option to choose their working hours as per their convenience, providing greater autonomy to begin and end their workday. “Work@Home” would benefit the working mothers by allowing them to work from home, 2 days per Month. The policy is made effective from 15th October 2015.
Syed Mazhar Hussain, PTCL Chief Human Resource Officer said that this policy is in line with the HR’s strategic agenda of creating an appealing workplace for employees, thereby enhancing their engagement and productivity levels. This initiative has been launched after the successful pilot run of Flex Time during Ramadan and the encouraging response received from the employees. The decision to implement “WorkEase” is a step taken to further facilitate the employees in managing their personal and professional responsibilities. PTCL hopes that the flexible work arrangements will benefit both the employees and the organization.
