PTCL Upgrading its Telephone Exchanges from Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) to Next Generation Network (NGN)

PTCL being upgrade Telephone Exchanges from TDM to NGN:
KARACHI (June 28, 2011) : Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) is upgrading its telephone exchanges from Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) based technology to latest Next Generation Network (NGN) technology for providing better and improved services to customers. PTCL will start the migration series from Korangi Exchange Karachi Area from July 3 till 13, 2011 to streamline and make the service and hi-tech, utilising state of art technology.

  1. My connection is through Misri Shah exchange and up until October 20, this upgrade is not complete. My DSLconstanatly disconnects. Does anyone know when this upgrade will be finish. This is annoying and I am thinking about getting Worldcall and canceling PTCL.

    Inroducing of new technology and services is highly appreciable and shall earn more revenue for PTCL and also controll over fuel/power consumption and its misuse as well.
