PTCL DSL extra charging – Syed Fawwad (Karachi) writes to Daily Dawn:
Karachi (September 24, 2011) – I AM a PTCL broadband subscriber and I am paying Rs 840 every month for a 1MB connection because of using a student package.
I noticed in my bill for August that instead of being charged this amount I was asked to pay an additional Rs100.
When I checked on the PTCL website there was no such information regarding an additional payment on the student package.
How can they increase the DSL broadband charges without advertising it or announcing it in advance?
I wonder what the Pakistan Telecommunications authority is doing regarding it! How did it allow the Pakistan Telecommunications Company to increase this additional charge in what is clearly an underhand manner?
At the least, subscribers should be told of this well in advance.

Ptcl increasing dsl charges time o time without any intimation to user.
no question i.e student package/1 mb user or more .

DSL rates not increased after the years. It is increasing
time to time frequently. Pl check record (bill) DSL charges
increased NOV-2010 MARCH-2011 AUGUST-2011.

LINE RENT INCREASE FROM 174 TO 199 NO OPTION FROM SUBSCRIBER BUT BY FORCE IMPLEMENT ALSO DSL STUDENT 1 M/B INCREASE FROM 840 TO 929 IN PAKISTAN EVERY ONE HAVE HIS RATE NO CHECK AND BALANCE FROM GOVT AND NO APPROVAL FROM PTA WHY BUT ONLY PENSION OF PTCL IS DECREASE NO CHESK EVERY THING IS INCREASEING BUT PTCL PENSION IN DECREASING . THIS IS JUSTICE I AM ASKING FROM EVERY ONE ……..OH MY ALLAH HELP US
its very simple how to cover company loses.let suppose ptcl has 1 million(just an example) they increased line rent from 174 to 199.so they got 25 bucks from each customer if u multiply it from 1 million it will be 25000000.let suppose some customer avails this facility and you minus 500000 then it will be still 20000000.BINGGGGOooo babe millions ruppee”s are coming now rocking ideas of ptcl marketing ceo.moreover mostly clients are offices who are mostly closed on Sundays so no one gonna use that package facility.it is the old style of ptcl crime they already had done it in past if you guys remember they implemented Pakistan package with 200 rupee from each customer in bill without any knowledge although alot of customer got correcting.but what about who did”NT corrected and ptcl got millions of bucks.how clever they thinks they are….but

Q K Is k customers pakistan main bauhat ziada hain.
ABhi in k competition main koi bhi nahin he.
Jab in k competition main koi ajaye ga, to jab yeh black mailing close kar dengay.
Tab in ko bhi dengue fever hojaye ga.
Kisi bhi telecommunication company main agar koi bhi customer koi package use kar raha he, to woh company kabhi bhi us package main izafa nahin karti. Q K customer ne woh package dekh kar apni sahulat k hisaab se liya hota he. Balke company New Packages announce kar ti he.
PTCL KI tarah nahin karti k package main Rate ka izafa karde.

It is the right of PTCL consumers to be notified in advance for any price increase or changes. Here is my experience with recent interaction with PTCL department.
1. My DSL internet charged has been increased to Rs. 1000 per month. Upon investigation and contacting PCTL, they told me that this is due to new price change policy that limits my internet usage to 50GB per month. I requested to be provided with usage detail but to no avail. So I am completely in dark if I am really using more than 50GB.
2. Upon reminding that I was charged unfairly without notification, I was told that I have to personally visit the PTCL exchange to get refund as PTCL is allowing to refund these charges up until Dec 2011. I have to do this every month. They made the process so burdensome that no one can get the refund without spending their whole day at exchange.
3. My telephone line just got dead yesterday. Called customer support 1218 and logged a complain. Called after 24 hours and found that there is no progress on the complain. I requested to provide me an ETA but again no response. The thing irritated me most that the customer support personnel communicate with you in a manner that makes you feel retarded. They respond to your questions in a route fashion without listening to you. Finally I was hung upon.
We consumers must build a forum to highlight these issues to PTCL. We consumers deserve respect and quality service from PTCL.

Bhai BBS / 1000 charg hote hain jab aap 50 gb se above ho jate hain , 4MB per Pehle mera bill 1999 tha line rent 199 tha lekin phir b mera bill 2450 ata tha ab 1000 extra lagne k baad mera bill 3500 ata ha , PTCL is Playing a game with Ptcl customers ,, I have Removed the connection ,,,,,,,Bye Bye PTCL
