“Ministry of IT failed to implement orders of Government of Pakistan”: PTCL Pensioners Action Committee chairman Muhammad Tauqeer

PTCL pensioners for 15-25 increase in pensions:
SIALKOT (Thursday, April 7, 2011): Thousands of PTCL pensioners could not get the 15-25 per cent increase in their pensions and medical allowance due to negligence of the Information Technology Ministry.
In a statement here on Thursday, PTCL Pensioners Action Committee chairman Muhammad Tauqeer said that the federal government had announced the increase in pensions nine months ago, but the orders could not be implemented. He said that over 39,000 PTCL pensioners, including a large number of widows and orphans, were facing severe financial problems due to inflation. He appealed to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry take notice of the matter and order immediate increase in pensions and medical allowance.
