PTCL Sales Conference, Employees enjoys Kart Racing

Islamabad (December 11, 2012) – Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL) held a day long go-karting/Kart racing event for its employees in conjunction with the earlier held Annual Sales Conference.
Held at the go-karting track in Islamabad, the event was organized as part of PTCL’s efforts to develop team building and to synergize and invigorate its employees. The activity offered a chance to various departments to come at one platform and develop mutual coordination and team work.
Go-karting is one of the most popular forms of motor sports in the world. It is not only a great way to spend a fun filled day with family and friends, but is also considered a stepping stone towards professional racing.
PTCL’s countrywide sales management teams comprising of consumer sales, direct and indirect sales, corporate sales, contact centers, customer care, wire-line and wireless departments’ as well senior officials from the company’s Commercial, Human Resource and Marketing departments took part in this team building activity.
Over 100 PTCL employees from all across Pakistan took part in this activity and were treated to a day full of fun and frolic. Prizes were awarded to top three winners, while Muhammad Hamza Khan Niazi from the Broadband and PSTN team was the overall winner.
PTCL believes in providing a healthy working environment for its employees and regularly organizes such team building activities.
What is Kart Racing or Go-Karting?
Kart racing or karting is a variant of open wheel motorsport with small, open, four wheeled vehicles called karts, go-karts, or gearbox/shifter karts depending on the design. They are usually raced on scaled-down circuits. Karting is commonly perceived as the stepping stone to the higher and more expensive ranks of motorsports.
