PTET Helpline for PTCL’s Pensioners
Islamabad/Lahore (Saturday, January 16, 2016) – Pak Telecom Employees Trust (PTET) was established in 1996 after passing the Telecom. Act by Government of Pakistan. This was first step toward the privatization plan of Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation. Due to this act the PTC converted into a limited company the PTCL.
The main purpose of PTET was to safeguard the rights of retired employees of telecommunication industry especially the pensioners of T&T, PTC and PTCL. But after creation PTET became the organization, who safeguard the interests of PTCL and Government of Pakistan. 40000 retired employees (Pensioners) of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited, Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation and Telegraph and Telephone Department are wondering here and there for their rights. They are knocking every door but still in vain.
