Pak Telecom Employees Union (PTEU) CBA letter to President PTCL for increase in Pay and allowances announced by Govt. of Pakistan in Budget 2010-2011:
(Text of letter)
Dated: June 10, 2010
Ref. No. PTCL/CBA/Salary
To
The President
PTCL Hcadquarters
Islamabad
You are well aware that the Federal Government has decided and announced grant of ad-hoc allowance equal to 50 percent of running basic pay and has also increased certain allowances to the employees in the recent budget 2010-11.
It is likely that Finance Division will notify the increase very soon. As the PTCL employees are availing the National Pay Scales of Government of Pakistan, the CBA, therefore, demands that PTCL Management ensure timely increase in the salary as soon as Finance Division notifies the It will not be out of context to point out that the PTCL employees always forced to go for protest for their genuine and legitimate rights in the past and finally the PTCL management had to acknowledge their claims. In order to avoid recurrence of same practice in present situation and in future, the CBA demands increase in pay and allowances for PTCL employees, as announced by the government, so as to avoid any war of tussle.
