Public Holiday Notification On Quaid-e-Azam Day (Dec 25, 2013)
Islamabad (Monday, December 23rd, 2013) – Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on 25 December 1876 in the city of Karachi. He died on September 11, 1948. He was a lawyer, politician, and the founder of Pakistan.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah served as leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913 until Pakistan’s independence on 14 August 1947, and as Pakistan’s first Governor-General from independence until his death. He is revered in Pakistan as Quaid-i-Azam (Great Leader) and Baba-i-Qaum (Father of the Nation). His birthday is observed as a national holiday on 25th December every year.
PTCL has issued a notification regarding general public holiday on this occasion. Following is the notification circulated by HR department.

Dear All PTCL Employees,
It is to notify that, Wednesday- December 25th, is declared as a Public Holiday. This is in commemoration of the birth anniversary of the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, as well as the holy occasion of Christmas.
To ensure seamless flow of business and operations wide across PTCL, for this day (December, 25), “Duty Rosters” are to be charted out. In this regard, HR operations team under the lead of Mr. Imran Qayyum, SM HR Operations, shall be in contact with you. All concerned are urged to work out a comprehensive Duty Rosters, in their respective domains, in line with stated criteria. And subsequently forward to HR Operations team for record.
We trust that in the larger business interest, the formation and implementation of Duty Rosters shall be done in true spirit.
