Supreme Court reverses LHC orders to abolish tax on International telephone calls

Lahore (Breaking News / Thursday, February 21, 2013) – Today Supreme Court of Pakistan has declared the Lahore High Court (LHC) interim order shuld be null and void regarding removal  of tax on international incoming phone calls made from other countries to Pakistan.

Two member bench at the Supreme Court’s Lahore registry heard a petition filed by various companies challenging LHC’s short order for abolishing tax on international calls.

in October 2012 Lahore High Court (LHC) had suspended the notice of the federal government of a new tax on incoming international calls.

It is a good for ptcl and Pakistani goverment THEY put A havey taxes on overseas calls in that we can cope with economic crisis….MORE TAXES SHOULD BE ON OVERSEAS CALLS BECAUSE THE PAKISTANI EARN MORE DOLLARS,REYAHAL,DHARAM AT OVER THERE…. GOVERMENT SHOULD MORE TAXES ON THESE CALLS…IT IS MY REQUEST TO PAKISTAN.S GOVERMENT….

  6. Wow,,,, second disappointment from SC for overseas Pakistanis. Would’ve much cheaper to call our families if they were living in Bangladesh now.
