The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Lahore Chapter Announces New Leadership

 

Lahore ( Wednesday, November 21, 2012) – TiE Lahore, The Lahore chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs, the world’s largest not-for-profit network of established and aspiring entrepreneurs dedicated to the advancement of entrepreneurship, today announced the elections of new office bearers following an Annual General Meeting held on September 21, 2012.

The new office bearers were elected in accordance with the bylaws of TiE Lahore. The elected officers are (i) President, Mr. Salim Ghauri (CEO Netsol Technologies), (ii) Vice President, Mr. Naeem Zamindar (CEO, Wateen Telecom), (iii) General Secretary, Mrs. Seema Aziz (Executive Director,Sefam (Pvt) Ltd) and (iv) Treasurer, Dr. Syed Zahoor Hassan (Professor, Lahore University of Management Sciences).

 

Mr. Salim Ghauri, said, “It is indeed an honor to be elected President of the TiE Lahore Chapter. I am greatly looking forward to working with the young and upcoming entrepreneurs of Lahore. As an economic force, this group of people holds immense potential in being able to transform the local economy positively. My team will inherit a very active group of members and it will be our primary target to make TiE Lahore more visible and accessible to Lahore’s budding entrepreneurs”.

 

Mr. Ghauri, who co-founded Netsol Technologies in 1995 and grew it to be a publically listed company traded on NASDAQ, takes over the office of president from Monis Rahman, Chairman and CEO of Naseeb Networks which runs ROZEE.PK, Pakistan’s largest provider of online recruitment services.  Previous presidents of TiE Lahore chapter include industry stalwarts such as Syed Babar Ali, Dr. Khalid Chowdhry and Zouhair Khaliq.

 

“It gives me great pleasure to hand over the reins of TiE Lahore to Salim Ghauri” said Monis Rahman, the outgoing President of TiE Lahore Chapter. “TiE Lahore is well positioned to be taken to the next level.Salim has a proven track record of leadership, scaling organizations and building sustainable world-class teams. I wish him and the new executive team all the best for advancing TiE Lahore’s mission.” Monis Rahman further added.
