On 2nd day of Dharna (September 1, 2010) Police baton charged to disperse the protesting PTCL employees who had gathered at the PTCL head office Wednesday morning to press the management to accept their demands including pay raise.
The angry protestors, however, managed to enter the premises again when some more protestors and union leaders joined them. The protestors got angry when the PTCL management refused to meet their representatives at the ministry of manpower. The meeting was arranged by secretary manpower to sort out the issues.

Management try to stop protesters out side PTCL H/Q, But When thousands of PTCL Workers start entering into H/Q, Security and management could not resist and workers chanted slogans and entered into PTCL Head Quarter and started Dharna……..

Earlier After failure of negotiation between Workers and Management, the leaders of Workers Ittihad belonging to all unions finally announced “DHARNA” They reject 30% increase in Pay.

The management reaffirms its commitment to uphold the best interest and welfare of its employees. In continuation to our circular dated 11th August 2010, we are pleased to announce following revisions in the salary increase of employees:

1. For the sake of uniformity, 50% of Initial Basic Pay is converted to 30% of Running Basic Pay for all non management regular and NCPG employees effective from 1st July 2010.
