APCA Pen Down Strike for Less Salaries Raise in Budget 2012-2013, Punjab Teachers Union term budget anti-employees
Lahore (May 3, 2012) – All Pakistan Creks Association (APCA) has announced full day pendown strike today in all Pakistan against the Govt employees salaries budget proposals announced in the federal budget 2012-2013 on June 1, 2012.
Punjab Teachers Union (PTU), has termed the federal budget ‘anti-employees’ and said the government had betrayed the government servants.
In a press statement, PTU office-bearers Sajjad Kazmi, Rana Liaquat and others said the government had miserably failed to provide any relief to government servants. They said the government employees and their family members would exercise their right to vote in the coming elections.
National Students Federation (NSF) had strongly condemned the government for low budgetary allocation for education and demanded an immediate increase in the budget.The NSF Lahore chapter organised a sit-in in front of the Lahore Press Club on Sunday to demand an immediate increase in the budget.
