Q No.1 What is Broadband Student Package?
Student Broadband Package is a special discounted offer for students, faculty members, and administrative staff of Universities, institutes and Schools.
Q No.2 How would I know PTCL Broadband Student Package is available in my city?
Student Broadband Package is available in almost 280 cities across the Pakistan including Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Peshawar, Hyderabad, Quetta, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Sheikhupura. Q No.3 How much I have to pay for the Broadband Student Package?
Student Broadband package is available on 1 MB connection with the following applicable tariffs
DSL-1Mbps @ Rs.839 per month (unlimited download)
Q No.4 How can I apply for the Broadband Student Package?
You can apply for the Broadband Student Package from either of the following two ways
  1. 1. Order Booking at 0800 80 800
The order can be placed by calling our contact center 0800-80800.The call center agent will guide you through the procedure of order registration and validation of your request.
  1. 2. Order booking via Online Application Form
Students and Faculty /Staff members can apply online for Student Package through following URL
http://www.ptcl.com.pk/student/index.php
An Order Entry form will be displayed fill it with the requested information and press “Submit Your Request” tab.
An option will be available on top of the page to download the form in PDF format. Please download the file and have it printed and validate it from your concerned institute.
Q No.5 How can I validate the online application form and who is eligible to validate it?
You can validate the printed form from your institute/university. The below officials of your institute/university can validate (Sign and stamp) the form
v     Dean/Principle
v     Head of the Department
v     Professor /Lecturer
v     Any faculty member or Administration staff of your institute
The completed and validated form can be taken to the PTCL One Stop Shops or Customer Services Centers for order entry and validation.
It can also be scanned and E-mailed to the following address

Q No.6 I have applied for the Broadband Student Package but I have not heard anything from PTCL?
It takes normally seven days for the application to be processed and validated through the concerned officials of the PTCL. There are different reasons for the delay
v     Your application is not validated.
v     Your institute has not confirmed your association with the institute.
v     We are not able to contact your institute.
Once your application is verified PTCL personnel will contact you for the provisioning of the services. For the status of your application please call at 1236.
Q No.7 What will happen once the application for Broadband Student Package is submitted?
Once application is successfully submitted, we will process you application for verification and once your application is verified you will be intimated accordingly for the provisioning of the services.
Q No.8 Can I avail Broadband WiFi service on Broadband Student Package?
Broadband WiFi service is not available to Student Broadband Customers.
